Favorite household purchase!

I cannot say enough about how much I love this washer. The first thing we noticed was how great it did getting stuff clean; even the stuff that was in our old washer when it died, & then sat wet for a week & smelled so bad we had to put it in the garage- clean & fresh in the 1st wash! Next was that our dryer performs better. We had been having to dry loads 3-4 times with our old washer, but they're drying with one cycle consistently now. I have to wear white dress shirts for work, & get filthy on a daily basis. They're coming out great, & still smell fresh after hanging in my closet for a week! Love, love, love it! We didn't think we needed the extra features of this model (like the steam clean), but got this because it was half price due to a tiny scratch in the top when it came out of the box at the store. After using it for a few months, I think it was worth full price. I use the steam feature at least once a week.

The Whirlpool washer WFC7500VW 2 with matching dryer. I have had so many frustrations with error codes for the door latch, service calls and now error codes indicating the motor has problems F06. From what I am reading it seems other companies add a 10 year guarantee on motors. The problems with this machine make me want to switch brand loyalty and purchase another machine with less problems. I feel that Whirlpool should address the know problems with the door latch and engine in good faith because it seems to be a flaw in the product with so many folks have the same issue.

Failed at getting clothes clean from the start. Nineteen service calls in 21 months. Repair reps work on these machines often and are very familiar with their problems! Two service companies recommended the unit to be replaced after six consecutive week out of service.

3 washers in 6 years

I have been through 3 of these washers in 2 years. After about 2 years each machine has developed significant problems and I have been informed that it is cheaper yo replace the machine than fix it or parts are no longer available to fix the machine. It is really disappointing that these machines have such short life spans.
